Thank you for your kind comments. I hope to have at least one chapter up this weekend. Maybe two.
I don't know if you heard but I live in Southwestern Ohio. Last Sunday, Hurricane Ike came roaring in with four hours of 45 mph winds and gusts up to 80 mph. That's a Cat 1 hurricane. We didn't have any rain though. Lots of trees and electric lines were knocked down. I just got power back late yesterday. I'm lucky, some of my friends still don't have it back. I am also lucky that there was very little damage on to my home. Nothing that a little elbow grease and time won't fix. Anyway. I hope to have the next chapter posted this weekend. And again. Thanks. |

Yes, thank you. There are still spots that have fallen trees and limbs scattered about. But we have for the most part recovered. Thankfully, I was only
without lights and water for 5 days. There were some that were without for about a week and a half. Our biggest heart felt thanks goes out to the power crews
that were working 16 hour days. And especially to the crews from out of state that came in to help. I personally know of Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and
New Hampshire that sent crews. If there were thoses, and I'm sure that there were, thank you also.
There is nothing more beautiful than a convoy of power trucks (15-20) pulling aways from your community after they finally managed to get your lights on. People were cheering them. And it's nice to know that your neighbors all come together to help each other when there is a need. Also, thanks for your compliments about my story. Love Saule |

I posted some of the pictures I took during and after the hurricane, if you are interested. Things look much better now. It was what is called a dry
hurricane, meaning that there was no rain, only the wind. Also, if you go to YouTube and type in Hurricane Ike hits Ohio, you can view clips that were sent in
from Cincinnati to Cleveland.
